Hello again!

This awesome cover was created by Javier Poblacion of Caceres, Spain. I am so in love with it.

I have been gone from my blog for a week. I didn’t even do an up late! I really was planning on it despite working crazy overtime, but then a strange thing happened. I chose to actually socialize with other people. Real people. Outside my house. It was really strange but really fun. My ten-year high school reunion was this weekend, so a bunch of friends I haven’t seen in person blew into town. So I was more than happy to ignore my blog and housework to catch up with some really good people in real life.

I did spend a few minutes here and there reading some really good books. Joining the summer reading program at the library has really been forcing me to stay on top of them. But as far as actually creating anything? Didn’t happen much. But now I really can’t ignore projects because I have a necklace swap wrapping up soon. So I had better finish what I have started.

The best news this week — I have a short work week! I only work three days this week, and then it’s off to an awesome cabin with my little family. Yaaaaayyyy! Even better, there is no tv, no internet and no phone reception. So I will be forced to play outside with my kiddo, read and make stuff. For three solid days. Pretty damn awesome. And we have some pretty awesome neighbors keeping an eye on the house and watering my garden for us.

So I guess what I am saying is that it will be ANOTHER week until you hear from me again. I just have too much housework (thank you last week) to do to really write you guys a post worth reading. I hate to throw junk up here just to say I posted. So until I return, check out some sweet covers from the Sketchbook Project Limited Edition. These are the types of things that simultaneously inspire me and give me major anxiety. So in other words, it’s some really good work. But when I return, I will be sure to share lots and lots of good photos.

See you in a week…stay creative everyone!

  1. No worries! Real life comes first. 🙂 And I never start worrying until someone’s been gone for a month or more… Then comes the slew of “hey, you ok?” emails.

  2. Hi Kate!

Just wanted to let you know that you won the Fashion for Home giveaway on my blog. I tried emailing you but the email was rejected. Get in touch with me when you can at loveelycia[at]gmail[dot]com.

  3. I love the whole concept of the sketchbook project, but I know myself well enough to know that I’m not currently at a point where I could commit to it. I definitely enjoyed viewing some of the fabulous covers, though!
