Happy Anniversary to me!

I can’t believe it’s already been a year of blogging…the time has just flown by. All day I have been excited to get home and onto the computer so I can get this week officially kicked off. But first, let’s start with the usual Monday stuff.

So light and a little bit glittery.

After some delays, I got my scarf done and now it’s ready to wear. Overall, I am pretty happy with the results. It’s not the pattern I had originally planned, but I still like it. And I think it may be the first time I have made scarf that wasn’t intended for warmth. I wear of lot of scarves, so I always love to have something new to add to the collection. For this week, I will be spending my Start Small time working on the Sketchbook Project book I have been neglecting. That will be a perfect project because I have a lot on my plate and I can squeeze this in during small pockets of time.

So onto the giveaway fun! I wanted something a little handmade and a little something for inspiration. So here are the goodies:

A custom mixed media painting for your space

This one is quite old, but I still love it. It has an excerpt from O. Henry's The Magi. Just think about what you love, and I will put it onto canvas for you.

A wonderfully inspiring book

A closeup on one of the inside pages. This project is for a tinsel nest and eggs. It's so pretty and ethereal and would be a great tiny project to try your hand at.

All you have to do to register is leave a comment telling everyone the best thing you made this year. It can be the best because it turned out well or just because you had fun in the process. And if you can share a link to pictures, even better. Make sure to leave your comment by the end of the day Friday. I will announce the winner on Saturday.

After your register to win some fun prizes, don’t forget to keep coming back every day this week. I will have even more fun stuff to share. So have a great  night everyone and I will see you tomorrow night!

  1. I made some pretty awesome orniments. I will attempt to attach a picture.

They were made with glass balls and burlap. I love the way they look!

  2. I finally finished knitting an entrelac patterned blanket for my baby. Still on the search for the perfect fabric to sew on the back. So it is not totally finished… But I love colors, the pattern, and a usable forever baby blanket.
