Despite the low points this weekend, today was a big improvement. When I dropped off L at daycare and picked up the invoice for December, I saw our rate dropped $60 since she is now potty trained. Awesome! I also went out to lunch with some friends from work and got sushi. Best of all, when I got home, I got full cooperation on everything from picking up toys to bedtime. So I was able to jump right into crafting. Yay!I did learn this, though. Two solid hours of cutting out fabric will make my hand go numb. But it was worth it. Since I lost two solid days of crafting, I switched gears to make up for it. I put my husband’s afghan aside because if I don’t get it done, it can be a birthday gift instead. Now I am working on everything else. I am still not too worried, as long as I stay motivated.

Supplies are also starting to come in the mail, so I have a few new things to play with. It’s a good thing because I was starting to get a bit antsy for some of the fabrics I ordered.
So here is what I have for the week:
- Make grill mitts for my husband. I think I will have kid assistance on this.
- Assemble the memory game.
- Finish pillow. Now that my hands are clean, I can do it!
- Cut out fabric for blanket.
As much fun as I am having with these projects, I am excited for the new year. Then I can go back to sharing full in progress shots. Not having to worry about ruining presents for people will make this sharing thing a bit more fun.
Oh, and if you want to win some fun new gear, head over to Sew Mama Sew for December Giveaway Day. I really wanted to participate this year, but I finally decided to take my own advice and be realistic. So rather than shortchange myself on crafting time for my family, I passed on making something for Giveaway Day. But that just means I will have to make two awesome things in May!
