If you’re a long-time reader you know it. And if you’re new you’re about to find out. Here it is…I’m a dyed in the wool winter freak. Every tiny bit of the season fills me with excitement practically until I am ready to burst. White chocolate peppermint mochas? Awesome. Fresh, sparkly snow? Hell yes! Crazy oversized scarves in loud, loud colors? Essential. So naturally, it follows that I love Christmas. Mostly because it’s the perfect time of year to share handmade goodies to anyone remotely close to me. Or throw a rockin’ party.
But now that means I am facing a GIANT list of to-dos. And it looks especially huge because we are officially doing an all-handmade Christmas. To tell the truth, I am still really thrilled because I have been trying to get everyone on board for such a thing for a few years. And it worked! Well, for the most part. My husband is exempt because he doesn’t make stuff and doesn’t have the time to make stuff. I am still counting this as a win.
As a lovely reader, you are going to win as well! Here is just a few things I will be doing over the next few months:
- I will be joining in with Sew Mama Sew for another wonderful round of December Giveaway Day.
- I’m bringing back start small. I have a massive amount of work to do. So to get it done, I had better break those tasks into chunks.
- Holiday themed goodies for you. I am envisioning gift tags. We will see what I come up with…
So I guess this means I had better start planning, huh? Time to bust out the binder a pen and a biiiig mug of tea. See you tomorrow for my first step into holiday madness.
I love winter, too. The austerity in its colour scheme, the frost in the sunshine, the smell of cold, crisp winter air…. Snow! Christmas, hockey, sweaters, scarves. Yep, I’m with you all the way. Very excited to see what you’ve got coming! I’m not making as much this year as usual but there’s still a few things…
Oh I wish I had your ambition! Way to be awesome 🙂
