Hopefully all of you had a great time ringing in the New Year. I had a great time, all thanks to my husband. My birthday in on New Year’s Day, so he planned dinner out New Year’s Eve. Then the morning of my birthday, he took me out for a dog sledding trip. It was so fun and relaxing.
As much fun as I had during my long weekend, I am happy to be back. I am very ready to get back into the whole blogging crafting thing. My Start Small project this week is simple. A few years ago, my husband gave me a blue freshwater pearl necklace. I wore it a few times and it broke. After taking it back to the store and finding out how much it would cost ($1.50 an INCH for all three strands) I decided to take care of it myself. Now all I need to do is get some silk thread. I was going to share the usual before picture, but I like the dog sledding one so much more.
Also to start off the New Year, I enrolled in Alisa Burke’s Create Daily class. It is a series of tips and exercises designed to get you into the habit of making time to create every day. I won’t be able to share actual lessons and techniques, but I think I am going to share one photo from what I create every week. I am pretty excited to have some motivation to make more time doing what I love.
If you believe in resolutions or if you don’t, hopefully you are still trying to maintain motivation and meet your goals. Happy New Year to all of you and I will see you Wednesday!
