The last two weeks have been really fun, but short on sleep. My mom moved into our basement, and since we are both crafters and night owls, there have been many late nights sharing ideas and swapping patterns. Tonight, it became crystal clear that we are often thinking the same thing. The photo at the top of the page shows two containers filled with orphaned computer keys. The white ones are from my stash and the black ones are from mom’s. So the lesson here is, no matter what random thing you are holding onto for crafting purposes, someone else has the same thing. And they are probably closer than you think.

That is so sweet. I have computer keys too! I haven’t used them in anything yet. I am still figuring out where to use them–any ideas?
My Mom and I have tossed around a lot of ideas. Jewelry, using them like tiles for a mosaic, thumbtacks. All I know is they are too fun to toss!
