Even when I go a week without crafting, I am still on blogs finding new ideas and projects to add to my list. A few weeks ago, I saw this bag on Whip Up (it was originally posted on Fox Flat), and I have been thinking about it ever since. My other two purses are taking a serious beating from being used everyday. One is nearing three years old, and the other just passed one, so it’s not that surprising. I’ve also found over the years that I prefer bags I’ve made to the ones I buy — mainly because they always have the right number of pockets. A few months ago, Fiberworks was cleaning out some old yardages, and got a few new fabrics that I love, but haven’t found a use for yet. One of them may be perfect for making this bag.
I know it won’t happen anytime soon, but once I get some “have to” projects out of the way, maybe I can finally tackle this one. And hopefully I can get a good jump on some projects tomorrow. I plan on spending the whole day hanging out with my family while pretending I don’t have to return to work for another unnaturally busy week. But I will be sure to share some bits of fun tomorrow.
Have a great holiday everyone — don’t forget the reason we all get an extra day off.
Lemme know if you make one! I’ve had so much fun seeing people’s interpretations of the pattern, what fabrics they use, etc. 🙂
I will be sure to let you know. It will be a bit, but once I have it done, I will have to share. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the serious case of bag envy!
