Goodbye One Shot, Hello Lots of Pictures

Lots and lots of dictionary pages. Add a layer of paint, sew up, a bit of writing and now I have bags for smaller purchases.

So over the last few months, I have been thinking about my blog format. I am not 100% thrilled about how I have been doing with posts lately. Missing themed days, delaying promised posts and general slackiness. I thought for sure that having a strict structure would force me into regular writing, but that hasn’t worked so much lately. So it’s time to try something new.

Traditionally, I have posted one picture on Wednesdays without any long write-ups. But frequently I have a lot of pictures I want to share on Wednesdays that I end up not using. And then other days when I plan on writing, I don’t have anything really good ready. So the new format: almost no format. I am going to stick with my Firestarter Friday posts and that’s it. Besides that, I am just going to remove all pressure from myself and post whenever I have something good to share. So here are some quick shots for now.

I love painting with bubble wrap. It creates such a cool texture, especially with contrasting colors.

In an effort to work furiously and prepare for the upcoming arts fair, I was busting my butt all day. Business cards, bags for trinkets and painting, painting, painting. Making progress is a damn good feeling.

Color, color everywhere. These two pieces are going to be turned into some sweet journal covers. And hopefully they find a good home.
