May Giveaway Day!

05 13 2014 may giveaway day 2

Welcome readers new and old! I am keeping it super simple with Giveaway this year. I have some supplies that have been languishing in my stash, so I figured it is better to share and have them get used than let them go to waste. And why not double up and make TWO people happy. So here is what I am giving away with the how to follow.

It's a sad, sad thing when perfectly good fabric never gets used.
It’s a sad, sad thing when perfectly good fabric never gets used.

The first mini package has 2 yards of fabric in red and off white. Along with that, There are three empty chocolate tins in different sizes. I love tins like these for storing supplies. All of these were given to me and then never used.

Oh, the colors!

I don't do crewel, so this has to go to someone who will love it.

The second mini package is a bundle of vintage crewel yarn. There are 33 skeins in a rainbow of colors. These are also accompanied by two empty stash storage containers. One is an embossed chocolate tin and the other is a glitter Lorac case with a velcro band closure (also never used by me).

You wanna win one of these? It’s easy! Just post a comment below answering this question: What craft would you like to see me do a tutorial for? It can be sewing, painting, jewelry, housewares, whatever. Once you answer that, also be sure mention if you want mini package #1 or #2 and some contact info. If you are hosting a Giveaway, feel free to post your link, as long as you also follow the rules above. A comment that is only a link will not be approved. I approve comments myself, so don’t be alarmed if yours doesn’t appear immediately.

A random number generator will be used to pick the two winners. I will ship internationally. Please check out all the other giveaways at Sew Mama Sew.

So there it is, sweet and short. Good luck to all and see you tomorrow when I share art from my camping weekend.

  6. I like tips and tutorials for hand stitching. I love discovering a new technique that makes my creations look more polished or let me work faster. I would be happy with either package but the 2nd one is my first choice.

  7. I would like the giveaway with the yarns as I have 3 little grand daughters I want to teach hand sewing (and hopefully embroidery) to and the yarns would be a great start. THe oldest already knows how to use the sewing machien as I taught her to make a lap quilt, but hand sewing..not so much. And a tutorial of something simple for them to make would be great! I at the moment can only come up with the cards where you just lace the yarn around the card…but I am practical and to me that is a waste of time! I want them to be able to make something..thereby catching the sewing bug!
