Up Late: Shrinking plastic

01142013 up late 1

So since I busted my butt making stuff for others during the holidays, I decided to be a bit selfish. I took some of the shrink plastic leftover from my daughter’s project and made myself something. I free-handed a feather with black, teal, green and orange Sharpies. Then I cut it out and baked it. Now I have the awesome center piece for a new necklace. Now I just need to get the perfect chain. I probably have something in my craft room, but I was not in the mood to dig. So I switched gears and did some doodling.

My husband has been on a super food documentary kick, so I just did my thing while he was learning all sorts of new things. It was a really nice, de-stressing evening. So now I will share the rest of the process shots. Hopefully I can finish up this necklace soon so I can wear it. Happy Monday everyone!

Start of the drawing.

More colors to make this really fun.

Almost done.

And baked! Oh, I love shrinking plastic.

Just a lot of doodling. This is what happens when you are talking, watching food documentaries and drawing.
