I ignored crafting!

Before you think I lost it, it was only for a few hours. I did some painting on the weekend which I shared a picture of in my last post. And I did work on those designs a bit more on Monday, but I will talk about that in a minute.

First I have to share what kept me from my blog yesterday. The downside of having a standard bed frame with wheels on a hardwood floor is it moves every time to even get near it. So for a while now we have been hunting for a new bed and a rug to go with it. Well, yesterday we got the Flor tiles we ordered, so I was too excited to craft. We spent the whole evening turning our room from this:

To this:

Obviously, cleaning the room did a lot to help as well, but I am still thrilled with the results. So now that we have that out of the way, I am feeling quite a bit better.

So back to the crafting. Today I wrapped up my entry for one of the contests over at Spoonflower. It’s being co-hosted by Fabric8, and the prize is pretty awesome. The creator of the winning fabric will be offered a contract with Robert Kaufman to create their own fabric line. Eeeee!!! So tomorrow, I will be sure to hit you up for some support. The good news is I plan on putting a collection up for sale even if I don’t win. So if you really like it, you could be sewing with it. And in case you haven’t figured it out already, the image at the top of this post is my design.

Anyway, it is time to go sketch and get my next project done.
