Just a quick note before I get to the post…I did have a wonderful post for Friday. And then instead of hitting post, I hit save draft. And I didn’t figure that out until last night. But NOW I am really glad I didn’t post it, because I think it could be better. So now I am going to fine tune it and use it for Friday. So now for the regularly scheduled blogging…
To be honest, I’m not 100% thrilled about results this week. But I will share anyway. My goal was to get some rough sketches to help my husband decide what the heck he wants his next tattoo to look like. But I was getting really frustrated. At first, I thought the reason for my creative block was that there are just too many ideas. But now I think that the problem is I am trying too hard to create a tattoo. Now I am thinking the best approach would be to just have fun and draw whatever feels right. Then I can take something he likes and alter it. We will see what happens.
I am also working on some robot sketches for a cheater quilt contest on Spoonflower. They always have contests I like, but I don’t looooove. So I haven’t submitted any of my work yet because it’s not quite good enough. But I hope to really love one of my ideas soon.
As far as this week, I am (brace yourself) taking the week off. I have a few things I want to finish off, but a pretty grim week of work. So I am going to keep things low-pressure in my crafting life. I will still do an Up Late and Firestarter Friday post. I’m just not going to set any new deadlines.
