So I super love having a big stack of postcards waiting to be drawn on. And for some reason, I always end up making big giant postcards. So now I have 12 different postcards to wrap up and get in the mail. Sooooo I think I will make THAT my start small for the week.
At first I thought it may be cheating to have to halves of the same project as two start smalls. But then I thought that’s what SS is all about! It’s all about breaking projects down into small manageable chunks so they can actually get done. So remember when you some big, giant, scary project staring you in the face — or just a dozen postcards to make for friends — breaking it down may be the key to success.
And it’s a good thing I’m looking at it that way. I was reviewing my master list of projects and realized I have a lot of big projects. A LOT. And if things are going to get done, I need to manage them. Speaking of time management, it’s time for me to get off the computer so I can get a head start on tomorrow.
Happy creating everyone!
My postcards are always smaller, I am not sure why. I started mine last week and now they are all in various stages of almost-complete. So we shall see.:)
I found your site via nakedcarlyart. Love the postcards and the progression from start to finish. I’m inspired by the start small philosophy. It may be just the thing I need to motivate me to create, since I often get overwhelmed thinking about everything I want to do.
Welcome, thanks for stopping by! I know what you mean about overwhelm — that’s what started Start Small. Maybe try making a list of projects. Sometimes notes like what you already have materials for or what is high priority makes it really easy to just dive in. Let me know how things go!
